DIPLOMA OF NURSING
        I.       IDENTITY

      II.       GENERAL PURPOSE
1.     Useinterpersonal expression to communicate in nursing field such handling patients admission, checking vital sign, taking blood sample, giving direction, making telephone call, giving suggestion, giving instruction
2.     Adjustthe use oftensesin the right timeandsituation ex: future tense, present tense, and past tense
3.     Increasetheir vocabulary, especially thecommon termsusedintheir field of study such as parts of body, medical instrument, profession in hospital, parts of hospital, names of common disease
4.     Read andsay the words, expressionsor dialogueinpartsaccurately, smoothly, andwithgoodintonation.
5.     Understandthe content ofthe dialogueorsection/ text reading
6.     Produce procedure text to explain steps of doing something

    III.       SHORT DESCRIPTION
This course is given to students as a bridge of knowledge to get more information of their studies. During the semester, students will be helped to master their English starting from basic knowledge such as English as a mastery of English grammatical rules, vocabulary-related to their needs as a health practitioner, expression, dialogue practice. In this semester, students are more exposed to practice dialogues related to nursing role-play in order to make them more confident in using English orally.

Implemented in the classroom using the lecturing method, role-play, discussion, assignment and exercise
